Unto The Least of These Encouraging Inspirational Messages of Hope

About Suzanne Davis Harden

I love the Lord Jesus Christ with all my heart and am His servant. To live to obey Him and do His will is my goal in this life.

My husband Mark partners with me in serving the Lord.

We have two grown beautiful children, Faith and Christian.

Faithy is married to Scott, a wonderful man, and Christian is married to Nikki, a lovely young woman.

Between them we have three small adorable granddaughters, little Vera (Faithy & Scott) and precious Vivienne and Baby Rosalie, (Christian & Nikki) We adore each of our little granddaughters.

Our wee Yorkie, Doctor Wink (JJ) lives with us. She loves to bark :)

I have an undergraduate degree in Writing & Illustration for Children from Radford University and spent many years as a freelance illustrator for various publishers.

For several years I taught art to children and teens in private schools, and also taught privately.

I wrote several picture books and middle grade novels that I was seeking publication for when I suffered a serious illness that derailed my publishing goals.

I’d thought for sure that was what God wanted me to be ever since my teen years.

But during my illness I was forced to be still and wait on the Lord for many months. Throughout this time I listened intently to Christ in prayer.

I had to go to Physical Therapy to re-learn to use my hands and to walk any distance again for my legs would cramp.

Yet the Lord promised to heal me ~though slowly.

After several months I rejoiced when I could paint again. After a year I could walk a mile again. But still, I got vicious migraines frequently and always had to rest.

In 2009 the Lord Jesus Christ miraculously gave me the gift of music ~both to sing and play instruments. I was astonished. And afraid.

But He was working on both my will and my fears.

created through the Risen Lord Jesus Christ, Inspired by the Holy Spirit, to the Glory of God the Father, in Jesus name, amen

In 2009 He asked me to create a publishing company and have my greeting cards professionally printed; I’d always just printed these myself at home and given them away to the suffering in our Church.

Despite my autoimmune illness and chronic headaches, this ministry gave me great joy.

The Lord led me to a local university that sponsored business classes for the community so I could learn a bit about establishing a small business.

Then Wings of the Morning Publications, LLC was born.

I searched for three years for a way to sell my new cards both locally and online. I found a local shop to sell them.

However, the only ways I found to establish my own web-store seemed targeted to developers and had a pretty steep learning curve.  I had little energy to devote to it.

Then in 2013 Mark and I discovered the Etsy platform and loved it. In 2016 we opened our other Etsy Shop that features no ads.

Wings publications on Etsy

In 2020 we opened Peaceangelsong’s Gifts, our web store on Shopify. It too has no ads and features many of my inexpensive digital download designs as well as all my original cards, prints, and albums that we offer in our Etsy Shops.

The Lord inspired me to make many social media sites in the beginning. In those days I had more energy, and was not so disabled with the cross  of chronic migraines.

I loved to make original scripture paintings and post them to all of the outlets. For I believed the Lord was encouraging His people through me just as He had when He’d led me to make and send cards for the suffering in our church.

The Lord did not inspire me to promote my sale products in the way businesses normally promote their products.

He wanted me to promote them according to His will, in His way.

For the first few years I thought I was supposed to go about gathering reviews and promoting my products until the Lord stopped me.

I had very little energy for self promotion in the normal business way of promoting products anyway. However, in business one is required to promote their goods according to the world’s rules if they are going to expect to be profitable.

They are also expected to seek for customer reviews.

These were primary things that were expected of me from a worldly business perspective, but which were not the ways that the Lord was leading me to conduct His business.

All I know is that all of the people doing business with me have been very kind and understanding all these years. How thankful I am for each of them.  I know I have not been very profitable for any of them in any material sense.

I have tried to obey everything God asks of me though it makes little  sense according to the conventional business wisdom of the world.

Mark had such an aversion to purchasing ads that I felt it must be from the Lord too.

I knew God would not be pleased with any worldly style of promotion.

He had warned me that He did not do business the way the world did.

I could not help but feel sorry for those who did not understand that God’s thoughts are higher than our thoughts and His ways are higher than our ways. (Isaiah 55:8)

And He absolutely wants me to do things HIS way and not the world’s way.

The Lord has destined me to be spiritually prosperous rather than materially prosperous if that makes sense. I am to plant eternal seeds and bear eternal fruit for His glory.

The world doesn’t recognize that kind of treasure however. But the Lord desires that I profit spiritually. I have had to learn to view things from HIS perspective. (See Matthew 6:20-21)

I was to personally fund my own work for the Lord, and to not seek for or accept donations.

This ministry was to be my sacrifice for the Lord Jesus Christ.

A laying down of my life, a pouring out of myself on His altar, like Mary poured out her precious oil on Christ’s body.

I have found that the financial sacrifice is not the most difficult one so far.

However, I must be obedient no matter what the outcome.

Christ is all that matters.

And I can’t be afraid of what people think of me or how many or who reject or condemn me for my submission to Christ.

For I will stand before Him one day and He will ask me was I faithful to do His will?

I dread to hear my Lord and Savior say, “I never knew you, depart from Me you who knew but did not do My will.”

My passion and goal are to walk with Christ now, every day, in this life, on my path, like Enoch, to know and love Him with all my heart, soul, and mind, and strength; and to hear His voice and to know and understand His will, and to obey Him always by His grace and strength; ever loving and laying my life down according to Christ’s command, as He leads and enables me.

If I stumble, to confess my sin and  know that God will forgive me, for His word promises,  “…if we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness..” (1 John 1 :9)

And if I’m judged and condemned to remember, it’s Christ I have to please, not people.

Jesus Christ shed His spotless blood for me on the cross.

And it’s Christ’s blood that makes me righteous, not any good works that I do, or any standard I must live up to in order to satisfy anyone.

Christ’s blood is enough to make me God’s child.

I know my Savior loves me and I love Him and all that I do I ever pray is from Him and for His sake.

May the Lord Jesus Christ be ever glorified through all He does in and through me, inspired by His Holy Spirit, to the Glory of God the Father…

In Jesus’ name. Amen.

He hath shewed thee, O man,

what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee,

but to do justly, and to love mercy,

and to walk humbly with thy God?

Micah 6:8 - KJV

Wherefore be ye not unwise,

but understanding what the will of the Lord is.

Ephesians 5:17 -KJV

What shall we then say to these things?

If God be for us, who can be against us?

He that spared not his own Son,

but delivered Him up for us all,

how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?

Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect?

It is God that justifieth.

Who is he that condemneth?

It is Christ that died, yea rather,

that is risen again,

who is even at the right hand of God,

who also maketh intercession for us.

Romans 8:31-34 - KJV

Jesus said, “A new commandment I give unto you,

That ye love one another; as I have loved you,

that ye also love one another.

By this shall all men know that ye are My disciples,”

if ye have love one to another.

John 13:34-35 - KJV
