The stars are weeping for God’s Son
Who came to earth to die;
In pain and shame upon a cross
Our Lord was crucified.

Mary’s weeping for her Son,
Messiah prophesied;
She doesn’t know that in three days
Her precious Lord will rise.
Correggio, Jesus Christ

  Mary and the others
Saw Jesus through a lens
Obscuring everything He did
And all the truths He said.

“My thoughts are not your thoughts,” says God
My ways are not your ways,
My Son will bear you sins and die
And rise within three days.”

The stars are weeping for God’s Son
And Mary’s weeping too;
Mary’s heart is broken
For she thinks God’s word untrue.

The angel prophesied to her

Her Son would be the Christ;
To her the Christ would be the King
And set all things to right;
To her the Christ would be the King
And live forevermore
And not a man to die condemned
All beaten, sick, and poor.

Mary’s heart is broken,
For the Jesus that she loved,
Is not the Jesus promised her,
Her faith can no more trust.

If only she had listened
To the words that Jesus said,
Her faith would not be in a dream
Her hope would not be dead.

 “My thoughts are not your thoughts,” says God,
Jesus Christ by Carl Bloch 1834-1890
“My ways are not your ways,
Listen to My word and
You will know Me all your days.”

Mary’s Son would rise again,
Her sorrow turned to joy-
God’s word to her would be confirmed,
Her faith would be restored.

The stars are no more weeping
For the Son of God now reigns!
He rose again victorious
Over sin and the grave.

He’s defeated death forever;
Redeemed His chosen ones.
Mary’s no more weeping
For her blessed holy Son.

Heavenly Father, thank You so much for the gift of Your Son Jesus Christ who suffered and died for us to redeem our souls from sin and death that we might be forgiven and redeemed to live for You forever.
Please forgive us when we misunderstand Your promises to us, for they are always so much more wonderful than we could ever imagine. For Your ways are unsearchable according to Your word. But in the end, You always work all things to our good: Your word assures us of this.
Please help us learn to trust You and cling to our faith no matter what our outward circumstances may be.
For You will always show up for us, just as Jesus rose again from the dust of the grave when it seemed to His friends like He would be gone for ever.
You will show up just when we've lost all hope. You will bring renewal and restore our life and show us that You are in control. Your ways are just not our ways.
Because You are a loving Father, You will gently correct our misconceptions about you. But we must be humble and still and open our ears and listen.
There will always be an Easter to remind us that there is hope. Christ has gained the victory over death, sin and the grave.
Thank You Heavenly Father for the wonderful promises You have given us through Your Son Jesus Christ. I love You. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Loved Beyond Measure
Prayer Song © S.D Harden

You are loved beyond measure By One
Who measures the sky with the span of His hand;
By the One who measures the dust of the earth
And can account for each spec of sand.

You are loved with an infinite love by One
Who knows the weight of the earth;
Who measures the number of your days
From the moment of your birth.

He measures the height of the mountains,
He knows the length of the land,
He knows the number of hairs on your head
And He holds you in His hand.

Yes, He holds you in His hand;
He holds you in His heart,
He measures everything He makes,
Except for the love He imparts.

His love He freely bestows
Without measure upon all life;
An infinite river that overflows
From a Heart that can never run dry.

O Jesus, our Creator,
O Jesus, Yahweh, Lord,
Measureless is Your love, my King,
It flows forevermore…
From Your heart upon all life,
Your love, it overflows;
Yet we are blinded to the grace
That seeks to make us whole.

 "Who has measured the waters in the hollow of His hand,
Measured heaven with a span
And calculated the dust of the earth in a measure?
Weighed the mountains in scales
And the hills in a balance?
Who has directed the Spirit of the Lord,
Or as His counselor has taught Him?
With whom did He take counsel, and who instructed Him,
And taught Him in the path of justice?
Who taught Him knowledge,
And showed Him the way of understanding?"

                God's Infinite Love

"For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him." ~John 3:16-17

Heavenly Father, thank You for sending Your precious Son to redeem us from our sins. Help us to understand Your measureless love for us and to be grateful for Your grace that has made possible our salvation in Christ.
Lord, I love You! In Jesus name, Amen.
