Heavenly Father, open our eyes to see the myriad ways in which You have poured out rivers of blessings over our lives.
Help us to see through Your eyes how blessings can come disguised as unanswered prayers, trials, and challenges.
Lord, we recoil from these "blessings", yet these are often the kind You choose to draw us closer to You, to help us get to know You better.
Lord, if we find ourselves on a path we never planned to travel down, help us not become bitter, but to trust You, and thank You for the path. Help us believe Your promise that You are working everything out for our good, even the trials. Thank You, Lord. In Jesus Name, Amen.
Romans 8:28 (ERV)
"We know that in everything God works for the good of those who love Him."
Lamentations 3:21-24 (ERV)
"But then I think about this, and I have hope:
We are still alive because the Lord’s faithful love never ends. Every morning He shows it in new ways!
You are so very true and loyal!
I say to myself, “The Lord is my God, and I trust Him.”
James 1:2-4 (ERV)
"My brothers and sisters, you will have many kinds of trouble. But this gives you a reason to be very happy.
You know that when your faith is tested, you learn to be patient in suffering.
If you let that patience work in you, the end result will be good. You will be mature and complete.
You will be all that God wants you to be."
John 16:33 (ERV)
Jesus said, “I have told you these things so that you can have peace in me. In this world you will have troubles.
But be brave! I have defeated the world!”
Psalm 16:8 (ERV)
"I have set the Lord always before me;
Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved."
